Abstract
We employ Hermite–Padé approximation method to explicitly construct the approximate solution of steady state reaction–diffusion equations with source term that arise in modeling microwave heating in an infinite slab with isothermal walls. In particular, we consider the case where the source term decreases spatially and increases with temperature. The important properties of the temperature fields including bifurcations and thermal criticality are discussed.
