Abstract
⺠We successfully secreted non-glycosylated, active human VEGF from S. cerevisiae. ⺠The pre region alone is better than the entire MFα prepro peptide for VEGF secretion. ⺠Lys or glu at the glycosylation site increased non-glycosylated VEGF secretion.
