Abstract
► Viscosity was strongly dependent on biomass. ► KBDW and nBDW as biomass independent rheological parameters were introduced. ► Filamentous morphology was successfully characterized by image analysis parameters. ► Lacunarity was introduced as a new parameter for description of fungal morphology. ► Culture broth rheology was predicted with A. niger morphology.
