Abstract
⺠Genetically engineered strain of Corynebacterium glutamicum grows well on grass and corn silages. ⺠Strain is producing lysine with an overall carbon yield of nearly 10%. ⺠Strain is robust with respect to composition of silage and oxygen limitation. ⺠Silages seem valuable raw materials for the production of amino acids and other products.
