Abstract
⺠A monoterpenol synthase can differ in its enzymatic specificity when expressed in heterologous conditions. ⺠Differences in enzymatic specificity partly arise from the enzyme itself and partly from its cellular environment. ⺠Yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and plant (Nicotiana benthamiana) are easy to use and reliable heterologous models.
