Abstract
⺠Optimal performance data for light-emitting diodes based PBRs for microalgae is provided. ⺠We have addressed the convergence of microalgal biotechnology and LEDs technology. ⺠The highest volumetric biomass generation of green algae achieved to date is reported. ⺠Adaptive laboratory evolution was utilized to improve growth performance of C. vulgaris. ⺠An economic feasibility assessment of production with green microalga is presented.
