Abstract
► Core-shell nanoparticle Fe3O4/SiO2 is synthesized as supporter for immobilizing lipase. ► An alkyl group is grafted on the surface of the nanoparticle for lipase binding. ► Burkholderia lipase is immobilized on alkyl-grafted nanocomposite to produce FAMEs. ► The immobilized lipase triggers transesterification of olive oil with MeOH.
