Abstract
⺠This report describes for the first time an efficient protocol for production and purification of plant catalase in E. coli system. ⺠Thioredoxin and molecular chaperone, the ribosomal Trigger Factor and low temperature treatment are necessary for enhancing the solubility of recombinant rice plant catalase. ⺠Supplementation of a heme precursor (ALA) is essential for heme incorporation into the newly synthesized recombinant catalase.
