Abstract
⺠Host cell proteins (HCP) are present at very low concentrations during the production of transgenic proteins. ⺠HCPs pose a problem in the biopharmaceutical industry as they might exhibit immunological activity. ⺠A sensitive, selective and fast analysis technique for the monitoring of HCPs in pharmaceutical production processes is highly desired by the industry. ⺠The capacitive biosensor developed by us is highly sensitive and can be used to monitor trace amounts of host cell proteins or other contaminating compounds.
