Abstract
⺠We investigate photoinduced electron-transfer between zinc porphyrin and PAMAM dendrimers. ⺠Primary photochemical step occurs via the porphyrin singlet-state. ⺠Under deaerated conditions PET triggers a sequence of photoreduction reactions of porphyrin. ⺠Addition of methyl viologen inhibits photoreduction with accumulation of its radical ion. ⺠Dendrimer serves as sacrificial donor and nano-confined environment promoting PET.
