⺠Excited-state deactivation of pCKâ in decanol involves two competitive mechanisms. ⺠Formation of a photoproduct with a lifetime of 60 s attributed to the cis isomer. ⺠cis-trans photoisomerization of pCKâ promoted by specific interactions with solvent.
