Abstract
- A xylanolytic multi-enzyme complex (XMEC) was isolated from a Tepidimicrobium xylanilyticum BT14 culture.
- The XMEC showed good thermostability and pH stability.
- The XMEC was highly resistant to various metal ions.
- Different xylans were converted by the XMEC to xylobiose and xylotriose.
- The presence of sugar and ethanol stimulated xylanase activity of XMEC.
