Abstract
To get more derivatives of Licochalcone A and study the ability of the transgenic crown galls of Panax quinquefolium to transform natural chalcone, we modified the structure of Lic.A using transgenic crown galls of P. quinquefolium. Nine products, including one new alkaloid, were elucidated and the possible biosynthetic pathways were suggested. The toxicities and NQO1 inducing activities were assayed.
