Abstract
- Switching from anaerobic to aerobic conditions, Arthrobacter sp. can mediate enantioselective reduction of ketones and deracemization of alcohols in excellent enantioselectivities.
- Deracemization of heteroatom-containing racemic alcohols were performed by Arthrobacter sp. to achieve enantioenriched (R)-alcohols under aerobic conditions.
- Enantioselective reduction of heteroatom-containing ketones was performed by the same microorganism to achieve enantioenriched (S)-alcohols under anaerobic conditions.
