Abstract
- CC linked dimers of silybin A and B, silydianin and silychristin were prepared.
- Oxidative dimerization of the flavonolignans was done by T. versicolor laccase.
- All dimers exhibited improved DPPH radical scavenging compared to their monomers.
- The first reaction and the first derivative of silydianin were reported.
- Laccase oxidation helps to understand an antioxidation mechanism of flavonoids.
