Abstract
- An S-specific N-benzyl-3-piperidinecarboxamide-hydrolyzing enzyme was purified from Cupriavidus sp. KNK-J915.
- The amidase was highly S-selective for both N-benzyl-3-piperidinecarboxamide and 3-piperidinecarboxamide.
- The gene for the enantioselective amidase was cloned.
- The amidase was expressed in Escherichia coli.
