Abstract
- The use of permeabilization technology can be helpful in the development of a low-cost technology for production of CLA using Lactobacillus acidophilus cells.
- Permeabilized Lactobacillus acidophilus cells improved CLA biosynthesis activity and production of CLA.
- Cetyltrimethylammoniumbromide is an effective reagent for the permeabilization of Lactobacillus acidophilus cells.
- The permeabilized cells could be used many times without obvious decrease in activity of CLA biosynthesis.
