Abstract
- Silicates with similar pore diameters but different pore volumes, surface areas and morphologies were used to immobilise cytochrome c and lipase.
- Differences in loading, catalytic activity and stability were observed for lipase while similar catalytic activity was observed for cytochrome c.
- The immobilised proteins remained stable in buffer solution for at least four weeks.
