Abstract
- Short-chain n-alcohols induce a stereospecific effect on 15-sLOX-1 catalysis of PUFAs.
- Ethanol (<20% v/v) favors the formation of the 7R,17S-diastereomer from DPAn-3.
- 7R,17S-diHDPA and 7S,17S-diHDPA were characterized as the major products.
- This stereo-selectivity may be utilized in the production of resolvin analogs.
