Abstract
												- The enzymatic hydrolysis of PET nanoparticles was compared by turbidimetry.
- A turbidity decrease was correlated to the surface erosion process of nanoparticles.
- The biodegradability of PET was influenced by the mobility of the polyester chains.
- The efficient substrate adsorption of the enzyme was the main rate-determining step.
- Evidence for an endo-type mechanism of enzymatic PET hydrolysis was obtained.
