Abstract
Four related lipases, including the lipase/acyltransferase from C. parapsilosis and Lipase A of C. antarctica were produced by heterologous expression and functionally characterized in aqueous media with high aw (>0.9). Differences were observed in substrate and reaction selectivities, two of them being particularly efficient for alcoholysis even at low concentration of alcohol in water, a valuable property for green chemistry.
