Abstract
- The kinetic model given by Prazeres et al., for enzymatic hydrolysis has been tested for esterification for the first time.
- The model has given better results than several other kinetic models reported in the literature.
- Experimental data have been simulated using four initial substrate concentrations individually and also for four data sets combined together for Prazeres model.
- MAPE has been reduced to 10.1% in case of Prazeres model compared to 24.6-39.2% in case of other esterification models.
