Abstract
This paper describes a strategy for improving hydrothermal stability of SBA-15 by metal doping and an unusual way of inspecting hydrothermal stability of mesoporous materials in super high temperature water. The research results indicated that the introduction of metal into SBA-15 can improve the hydrothermal stability of SBA-15 and metal species and their molar ratios are important factor in the enhancement of hydrothermal stability. FT-IR results confirmed that the decrease of doping SBA-15 surface hydroxyl groups and the decrease of hydrophilicity may be the reason for improved hydrothermal stability after the introduction of heteroatom.195
