Abstract
- A technique for studying enzyme immobilization into mesoporous silica particles in real time.
- It is a complement to the conventional indirect approach of monitoring entrapment of enzymes.
- Considerably more enzyme was immobilized into mesoporous particles than to non-porous particles.
- Two immobilization regimes: adsorption to the particle surface and adsorption into the pores.
- Improved sensitivity was obtained because of increased sensor signal compared to a flat surface.
