Abstract
⺠We model the breakdown of logs in an improved rotational position. ⺠There is a potential value increase for Scandinavian sawmills sawing Scots pine and Norway spruce. ⺠Larger price differences between quality grades increases the potential value increase. ⺠Bow height and log taper are significant variables for separating logs.
