Abstract
Three electron donating-accepting iodoargentate hybrid, [DMBTz][AgI2] (1), [DMBTz][Ag4I5] (2) and [DMBTz]2[Ag5I7] (3) (DMBTz+â¯=â¯dimethylbenzotriazolium), directed by methylated benzotriazolium have been constructed under solvothermal reactions. Three compounds present a regularly structural variation from 1-D polymeric chain (1), 2D layer (2) to 3D open framework (3) and structure-dependent electron transfer photochromism, showing delicate modulating effect of DMBTz+ cations on flexibility of iodoargentate frameworks and consequent the photochromic behaviors.222
