Abstract
⺠A facile method to control the evolution of arsine during arsenic electrodeposition. ⺠Ammonium citrate showed a strong inhibition on the evolution of arsine. ⺠The current efficiency for the deposition of elementary As was increased by the addition of ammonium citrate. ⺠A dense and smooth layer was formed by the addition of ammonium citrate. ⺠A low-activity As layer was formed in the presence of ammonium citrate.
