Abstract
⺠One-pot synthesis of polypyrrole incorporating alginate and enzyme is presented. ⺠Use of alginate as a co-dopant has yielded films of unique bi-layer structure. ⺠This conductive film exhibits biocatalytic activity towards oxygen reduction. ⺠The retention of biocatalytic activity is improved by incorporation of alginate.
