Abstract
- A quasi-2D cell level model for planar SOFCs in short stacks is presented
- Effective properties are predicted reconstructing in 3D the electrode microstructure
- The approach eliminates the need for empirical correlations and adjusted parameters
- The Jülich anode-supported cell with LSM-based cathode is simulated
- A good agreement with measured morphological and electrochemical data is obtained
