Abstract
⺠We simulate the wave climate of the NW European shelf seas over a 7 year period. ⺠We apply a high resolution 3rd-generation wave model. ⺠We quantify spatial patterns of uncertainties in estimating the wave power resource. ⺠Uncertainty is considerably greater over winter months. ⺠There is a positive correlation between winter wave power and the NAO.
