Abstract
⺠Producing Mg(OH)2 for CO2 mineral sequestration was assessed. ⺠Reactor properties, reaction temperature and time affect Mg extraction. ⺠A 100% efficient CO2 mineral sequestration process avoids 567 CO2e/t-CO2 net. ⺠The process avoids 51% life cycle CO2 emissions of a NGCC power plant. ⺠The process reduces the net power of a NGCC power plant by 20%-points.
