Abstract
⺠Quality biodiesel from pure and used canola oil is produced by transesterification. ⺠A diesel engine is tested with biodiesel-diesel and canola oil-diesel blends. ⺠CO and HC reduction with biodiesel-diesel blends is significant compared to diesel. ⺠Up to 5% biodiesel or canola oil blends, there is no NOx increase compared to diesel. ⺠NO2 production at high idling is more than 50% of total NOx.
