Abstract
⺠Energy-intensive companies lack a strategic perspective on energy management. ⺠Most energy-intensive companies do not regard energy as “core” to their business. ⺠There are means to increase the energy utilization, yet seldom used in practice. ⺠There are possibilities to increase revenues by selling energy as a by-product. ⺠This research provides practical examples of good and poor energy management.
