Abstract
⺠A generic model for flexibility assessment of thermal systems is proposed. ⺠The model is applied to a combined heat and power system with thermal energy storage. ⺠A centrally located storage offers more flexibility compared to individual units. ⺠Increasing the flexibility requires both a more powerful CHP and a larger buffer.
