Abstract
⺠Arundo donax was pretreated by using a novel process developed by Chemtex. ⺠The efficiency of this process was compared with the Staketech batch technology. ⺠Cellic⢠CTEC1 and CTEC2 from Novozymes were used in various process conditions. ⺠The enzymatic hydrolysis was investigated at high dry matter loadings up to 20%. ⺠The highest concentration of sugars obtained after 48 h of hydrolysis was 91 g/L.
