Abstract
⺠A numerical model for the simulation of single and double U-tube GHEs is validated. ⺠The effect of multiple ground layer properties on the GHE temperature is examined. ⺠Efficiency assessment of a double U-tube GHE with regard to its building cost. ⺠An in-series double U-tube GHE is the most efficient configuration.
