Abstract
⺠Both water and energy systems are computed in a single bottom-up technology-oriented energy model. ⺠We analyze changes in energy consumption to meet the anticipated water demand. ⺠Electricity demand for water uses accounts for 40% relate to total electricity demand in 2050. ⺠The water-energy intensity is a useful approach to examine technological strategies and water management options.
