Abstract
⺠GHG impacts of biofuels were studied according to the EU sustainability criteria. ⺠Uncertainty of the GHG assessment results is important but ignored by the criteria. ⺠The criteria might fail to promote the most climate-friendly biofuels. ⺠Propositions are made to make the EU sustainability criteria more accurate.
