Abstract
⺠A techno-economic assessment of micro-algae cultivation was performed. ⺠Cultivation is the most important element in the production chain. ⺠Total bio-energy production costs of those systems overshoots fossil fuel prices. ⺠Net energy production is limited when considering the indirect energy consumption.
