Abstract
⺠We examine the integration properties of total renewable energy production, production of biofuels and biomass in the US. ⺠First study that considers the unit root properties of renewable energy production. ⺠We found each production series contains a unit root. ⺠Random shocks to renewable energy production may lead to permanent departures from predetermined target levels.
