Abstract
► Y2O3-ZrO2 coatings on K2FeO4 electrodes are prepared. ► Super-iron coin cells are assembled using Y2O3-ZrO2 coated K2FeO4 electrode. ► The discharge property of super-iron coin cell is superior to Zn/MnO2 coin cell. ► Super-iron battery can substitute for present primary batteries in application. ► Alkaline super-iron battery is expected to become a novel energy resource system.
