Abstract
⺠We explored achievement gains in reading and mathematics. ⺠Fractional polynomial models indicated that growth rates were slowing over time. ⺠Achievement gaps closed in reading, but not mathematics. ⺠Positive associations between initial reading and mathematics gains were found. ⺠Among educational services, ESL helped academic gains in both subjects.
