Abstract
► Cognitive profiles of mathematically impaired children depend on language abilities. ► Lower memory scores were only found in children with combined language difficulty. ► Children with isolated mathematical difficulty exhibited no relative memory deficit. ► Both groups exhibited lower full-scale IQ than controls. ► The two groups with mathematical difficulty showed different cognitive profiles.
