Abstract
⺠Individual predictors of academic achievement at eighth grade were investigated. ⺠A strong stability between previous and later academic achievement has been found. ⺠Openness, extraversion, and intelligence predict academic achievement. ⺠Self-esteem does not predict academic achievement. ⺠Self-efficacy beliefs in self-regulated learning predict academic achievement.
