Abstract
⺠Reasons for academic delay formed the basis for our typology. ⺠Latent profile analysis revealed four types. ⺠Past research has not addressed the discontent with studies type. ⺠Two types each appeared to be purposeful delayers or academic procrastinators. ⺠Interventions should be tailored to type-specific reasons.
