Abstract
⺠Academic buoyancy in four school subjects were investigated. ⺠Domain-general measures were contrasted with domain-specific measures. ⺠We included measures of psychological appraisal for external validity. ⺠Students held relatively consistent views about buoyancy across subjects. ⺠Perceptions of competence, difficulty and effort varied across school subjects.
