Abstract
⺠Pre-service teachers report decreasing experiential engagement in natural environments during their years of formal schooling. ⺠Immersive learning experiences in safe natural environments enhance pre-service teachers' feelings of wellbeing. ⺠Perceptions of personal creativity are enhanced during engagement in safe natural contexts. ⺠Learner immersion in safe natural environments leads to an increase in 'flow' experiences. ⺠Flow experiences in safe natural environments impact positively upon teamwork.
