Abstract
⺠Asymptotic numerical method (ANM) is introduced into power systems. ⺠Computation time of ANM is less than that of the general predictor-corrector continuation methods. ⺠ANM does not require any special step length control strategy. ⺠ANM can compute the breaking points on P-V curves in an efficient way. ⺠Numerical tests in power systems show good performances in above aspects.
