Abstract
► Complex-domain neural networks are proposed for locating faults on power lines. ► Proposal allows voltage/current representation without amplitude/phase decoupling. ► Different representations for voltage and current signals are analyzed. ► Real-domain neural networks and a benchmark model are tested for comparison. ► Measurements are assumed to be available at one line terminal only.
