Abstract
⺠An improved direct search method for the CHD dispatch problem is proposed. ⺠A penalty function technique is developed to dispatch heat and power concurrently. ⺠Solution improvement by using a successive refinement search technique. ⺠Better results in terms of objective values are obtained.
